Ingredients

3 -4 lbs round steak meat (thin cut) look for meat that has very little or no fat in it.
2 Jars Stubb's Beef Marinade
Stubb's Mesquite or Hickory Liquid Smoke (optional)

Instructions

Freeze the steaks.

3 days prior to cooking remove steaks from freezer place in refrigerate. Let the steak thaw for 8 - 10 hrs or overnight. Steak is easier to cut into 1/4 inch strips when it is partially frozen.

Use a jacard to tenderize the meet. Place strips in a large freezer bag.

Add 1 jar of Stubb's Beef marinade and 1/4 cup of Stubb's Hickory Liquid Smoke to cover the meat. You may use two freezer bags.

Marinate the steak in the refrigerate overnight; rotating at least once. Drain liquid from the meat and discard.

Place the strips in a dehydrator for 8 - 10 hours, making sure the setting is on high (meat). Check the meat after 4-5 hours and continue to check it every hour.

Remove meat when it is dry and not spongy. Store meat in sealed container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
